Volunteers Pack Record-

Breaking 60,000 Meals for

International Good Deeds Day

More than 500 volunteers from Jewish Federation of Palm
Beach County’s Kohl Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC) joined
millions around the world for the global day of service event
known as Good Deeds Day. Now in its eighth year, the day
of giving back provides those of all ages an opportunity to
make a powerful, positive impact on so many people and our
planet. The initiative was founded
in Israel in 2007 and now unites
millions of volunteers each year
from 115 countries around the
globe.
Highlights from Good Deeds
Day 2024 included:
• Meal packing: A record-
breaking day as 300 volunteers
packed a record 60,000 meals for
Alpert Jewish Family Service and
Palm Beach County Food Bank.
• Beach cleanup: More than
50 volunteers of all ages helped
clean our beautiful shoreline
with partner Beach Bucket
