                                                                                                           The following was written by Mr. Yass
                                                                                                           on July 4th, 2016.
                                                                                                           Here we are on the 4th of July.
                                                                                                           Can you believe half a year has gone
                                                                                                           by?
                                                                                                           It’s a day to remember our nation’s
                                                                                                           birth,
                                                                                                           So we celebrate with a great deal of
                                                                                                           mirth.
                                                                                                           Hot dogs and burgers are topped with brown deli mustard,
                                                                                                           For dessert we eat ice cream and delicious custard.
                                                                                                           Our nation was founded because of rulers who were cruel.
                                                                                                           We fought them and, thankfully, we won the duel.
                                                                                                           Our Founding Fathers did what was right;
                                                                                                           They hit a home run that went out of sight.
                                                                                                           It proves that good will overcome might.
