We have some tragic
updates from the conflict.
It is with deep sorrow
that we report the loss
of Lior Rudaeff, an MDA
Paramedic who was
initially thought to have
been taken hostage. Lior
was killed on October 7th,
and his body has been held
by Hamas since. Lior’s
story is one of dedication Lior Rudaeff
and community spirit.
Born in Argentina, he immigrated to Israel with his family
at the age of seven, settling in Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak near the
Gaza border. Known for his hard work and mechanical skills,
Lior not only contributed to the kibbutz but also taught local
youngsters to operate tractors.
In 1985, Lior married Yafa, and together they raised
four children and cherished three grandchildren. His role
as a grandfather was marked by deep dedication and a
wonderful sense of humor. Beyond his family, Lior’s impact
was profound through his volunteerism. He served as a
paramedic and the local ambulance driver in Nir Yitzhak,
providing calm and professional emergency response in
times of crisis.
