                                                                                    Academy of Community Inclusion
                                                                                    FAU’s Academy of Community Inclusion (ACI) hosted a
                                                                                    celebratory brunch and special presentation for students
                                                                                    and their families at the John D. MacArthur Campus. The
                                                                                    event celebrated the graduation of two ACI students,
                                                                                    Whitney Wiley and Michael R. Johnson, Jr. In addition
                                                                                    to highlighting the graduates’ achievements, the event
                                                                                    honored Michael Brady, Ph.D., founding principal
                                                                                    investigator of the ACI program. ACI is designed for
                                                                                    students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
                                                                                    Through the academy, students earn skill-based
                                                                                    certificates that foster independence and workforce
                                                                                    readiness. The goal of the program is for students to
                                                                                    graduate with a part-time job in their community.
