Academy of Community Inclusion
FAU’s Academy of Community Inclusion (ACI) hosted a
celebratory brunch and special presentation for students
and their families at the John D. MacArthur Campus. The
event celebrated the graduation of two ACI students,
Whitney Wiley and Michael R. Johnson, Jr. In addition
to highlighting the graduates’ achievements, the event
honored Michael Brady, Ph.D., founding principal
investigator of the ACI program. ACI is designed for
students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Through the academy, students earn skill-based
certificates that foster independence and workforce
readiness. The goal of the program is for students to
graduate with a part-time job in their community.
