“Brainz ’N Boltz is a must-see for art enthusiasts, sci-fi and
comic book fans, and anyone who appreciates the intersection
of highbrow and lowbrow culture,” said Anthony Record,
curator at Lighthouse ArtCenter.
The exhibition includes 10-foot-tall robots made from
painted cardboard, graphite drawings on 8-foot-long panels,
painted ceramics, as well as a display of sketchbooks, 3-D
models, and archival photos that illustrate Smith’s creative
process and the development of his “BOMBOTZ” universe.
The exhibition opens with a reception on January 16,
from 5 to 7 p.m.. at Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery, 373
