Make A Difference: Loggerhead Marinelife Center
Seeking Volunteers For Open Positions
Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) is seeking dedicated
volunteers who are passionate about marine life and are
looking to make a difference in their community. LMC
volunteers play an active role in sea turtle recovery, as well
as ocean conservation and education.
With numerous events and programs aimed at engaging the
community, the center relies heavily on the support of local
volunteers. LMC offers a range of volunteer positions for anyone
wanting to make an impact, including assisting in education and
conservation programs, providing excellent customer service in
the gift shop, working at the Juno Beach Pier, and assisting the
sea turtle veterinary team. Volunteers must be at least 16 years
old and work a minimum of one, three-and-a-half-hour shift per
week over the course of six months.
“Volunteers play a crucial role in our efforts to
protect sea turtles and their habitats,” said Kay Tennison,
Volunteer Program Manager at Loggerhead Marinelife
Center. “We are calling on individuals passionate about
marine life to join us in making a difference.”
Benefits of volunteering at LMC include:
• Exclusive staff and volunteer sea turtle experiences.
• Continued education opportunities through mission-
aligned training lectures and classes.
• Volunteer recognition awards and appreciation events.
• Staff discounts at the center’s gift store, and for summer
camps and visitor experiences.
• Staff discounts on scuba certifications, boat fees, and
rental gear.
• A fun community and environment of like-minded
individuals making a positive difference!
To apply, fill out and submit the required application
online. Applicants will be contacted about open positions,
with additional training provided. Certain positions may
require applicants to be a minimum of 18 years old. Seasonal
and short-term internships and volunteer positions are
available in several mission-serving areas. Recruitment will
be ongoing through October 31 or until positions are filled.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back to
the community, LMC is the place for you!
