our first responders, sanitation workers and events teams.
Behind the scenes, though, lies excellence across the board, from
municipal services to our utilities teams to our financial staff, and
more. Below are a few of the recent recognitions earned by City
of Boca Raton employees – providing outstanding services with
one of the lowest millage rates of any full-service city in Florida.
Thanks to another of our team, our communications
department, for these updates: Safer Streets: The City of Boca
Raton was an honored recipient of two 2024 Safe Streets Summit
Awards. The city earned the Complete Streets Community Award
for its significant contribution to implementing Complete Streets, BUYER? SELLER?

Drucker received the Complete Streets Champion Award for her
work in advancing Complete Streets in the county.
Financial Services: City staff earned the Certificate
of Achievement from the Government Finance Officers CLOSED
Association (GFOA), which is the highest form of recognition
in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and which
represents a significant accomplishment by a government and
its management. The city’s budget presentation has exceeded
nationally recognized guidelines for policy documents, financial
plan and communication. This is the 42nd consecutive year the
city has been recognized. Our city’s bond-rating remains AAA,
which means the rating agencies view our credit as higher than
the United States of America’s!
Beaches: The city was recognized by the American Shore and
Beach Preservation Association for its multi-jurisdictional beach 859 Jeffery Street $789,000 6539 Via Rosa $699,000

Green Space: The City of Boca Raton is celebrating its 44th CLOSED
consecutive year as a Tree City U.S.A. and its fifth Growth Award
from the National Arbor Day Foundation, which promotes the
benefit trees bring to urban environments: cooler temperatures,
cleaner air, higher property values and healthier residents. The
recognition and award are reflective of the city’s long-standing
efforts to maintain and strengthen its tree canopy.
Environmental: The Water Environment Federation
(WEF) recognized the city for its commitment to providing
environmentally sound treatment for wastewater using a
sustainable operation and best management practices. The
award honors the city’s Beneficial Biosolids Reuse, its work in
community engagement, watershed stewardship and recovery 7276 Via Palomar $749,000
of resources such as water, energy and nutrients. 3/2 2,570 total sq. ft.
