      Ukrainian Dancers in Free Performance



      At Boca Downtown Library April 27th



         A vibrant cultural dance performance
      by the Ukrainian Dancers of Miami will
      be held on Saturday, April 27th, from 3:00
      to 4:00 p.m. at the Boca Raton Downtown
      Library. Admission is free. The Ukrainian
      Dancers of Miami, Inc. is a not-for-profit
      organization, and all funding and services
      are achieved solely through donations and
      volunteer work. The Ukrainian Dancers of
      Miami pledges its commitment to educate
      their own and all others in the traditions of
      their ethnic heritage, and to keep alive the
      beautiful legacy of the Ukrainian dance.
         The Ukrainian Dancers of Miami
      was formed in the late summer of 1949
      by a group of young Ukrainians rooted
      in  the  dances and  techniques  of Vasyl

      Annual Mayors’ Chess Challenge April 20th



         Players of all ages,
      beginner and expert, are
      invited to play chess with
      other community members
      at the Spanish River Library
      branch on April 20th, from
      10:00am–1:00pm.
         Mayor Scott Singer
      says, “I’ve been honored to
      participate in past years of the
      Mayors’ Chess challenge to highlight the wonderful game
      of chess to our community and our children. Interest in
      chess has only risen over the last few years, and the Boca
      Raton Public Library is again looking forward to joining
      with other cities and hosting some great, young chess
      players.”
