“We are very grateful to our community for their
overwhelming support. The success of this event reflects the
ongoing commitment of individuals and businesses to the
flourishing arts and cultural scene in our community,” said
Executive Director Jeni Licata.
Embracing the spirit of the 1960s, guests donned ’60s
attire and the evening featured a themed decor including
centerpieces with hand-made and painted Volkswagen
Vans adorned with colorful Gerber daisies and baby’s
breath. The ambiance was complemented by the tunes of
violinist Carl Schmid, who serenaded guests with iconic
’60s music. Attendees indulged in a delightful culinary
experience and an array of beverages while exploring
over 300 pieces of art, including paintings, jewelry, glass, 747-PALM
textiles, sculptures, and ceramics.
D’Art for Art centers around the unique concept of 747-7256
“darting” for art. Each attendee was randomly assigned
to a famous ’60s artist or band, and when the name was
called, it was their turn to “dart” for a piece of art to take
home, creating an interactive and engaging experience.
Adding an element of excitement, one of the evening’s
highlights was the auctioning of an exclusive two-hour
private workshop for eight people with one of Lighthouse
ArtCenter’s esteemed instructors.
