unique production sheds light on the real-life struggle
against the “bondage of self,” offering a captivating
      portrayal of recovery.
As Temple Israel continues its legacy of service, it serves
as a center of support for those grappling with addiction and
embarking on the path to recovery. Under the compassionate
guidance of Co-Senior Rabbis Carlie and Ryan Daniels,
Temple Israel has transformed into a vital hub of community
support, driven by the values of connection, relevancy, and
      meaningful engagement.
Temple Israel is a caring community for individuals
struggling with addiction and in recovery, as well as for
their friends and family. With Rabbi Carlie and Rabbi Ryan’s
experience both serving as hospital chaplains, in addition
to Rabbi Ryan’s background as an addictions counselor,
the temple acknowledges the importance of individual
relationships and community connections in fostering ties that
provide crucial support. The dedicated clergy team, including
cantorial soloist Suzanne Guinane, staff, and congregants,
are there to offer support to all who seek it, creating a safe
space where community members can share experiences,
find strength in each other, and navigate the complexities of
addiction and recovery. To further embody this commitment,
Temple Israel hosts AA Table Talk meetings at 6:30 p.m.
every Tuesday to provide a continuous space for conversation
and healing for those in recovery.

Women’s League of Temple Emanu-El of Palm Beach
honored Yvette Yoslov as its Woman of Achievement at a
Torah Fund Luncheon last month. More than 100 people
attended the luncheon, which raised more than $18,000
for the Torah Fund Campaign of Women’s League for
Conservative Judaism. This campaign, run by the Jewish
Theological Seminary, supports scholarships and programs
at the five Conservative Jewish seminaries around the world,
which train future rabbis, cantors, educators, and lay leaders.
Yoslov was honored for her volunteer contributions to
Women’s League of Temple Emanu-El, where she has served
as recording secretary and membership VP, runs the Gift
Shoppe, and has been part of numerous committees. Heartfelt
tributes from family and friends were made in her honor.
Guest speaker Hazzan Alisa Pomerantz-Boro, cantor
of Congregation Beth El in Voorhees, NJ, and part of
Divas on the Bima, gave an inspirational presentation
on Finding Our Voices. She also performed a duet with
Temple Emanu-El’s Cantor Meir Finkelstein, singing “All
      I Ask of You.”
The theme of this year’s Torah Fund campaign is kol
Yisrael arevim zeh ba’zeh (all the people of Israel are
responsible for one another) and Women’s League of
Temple Emanu-El participated fully in supporting this
      worthwhile cause.
