        If you are a homeowner
      and have the homestead
      exemption, your assessed
      value is limited from
increasing year to year to a maximum of 3 percent. But
did you know that even non-homestead properties benefit
      from an assessment limitation?
In 2008, a constitutional amendment was passed stating
that the assessed value on all non-homestead property
shall not exceed ten (10 percent) from the prior year. That
means that the assessed value on every property that is
not receiving the benefit of agricultural classification,
conservation lands, or homestead exemption would now
be limited from increasing more than 10 percent annually.
      Non-Homestead Properties
        • Assessment cap limitation: 10 percent
        • Applies to: All property types (residential,
      commercial, industrial, vacant land, other)
