Abacoa Community Garden

Water Use
When Abacoa was conceived, local gardens were not in
vogue and the practice of water conservation through reuse
of wastewater for outside watering was a recent innovation.
Embracing the new technology and conservation method,
Abacoa’s developers created a system whereby Abacoa’s
wastewater is reused.
It receives tertiary treatment (treated three times) after
which it is stored in our lakes. The golf course and all the
