New Policy Ideas
In addition to the 2020 strategic initiatives I proposed earlier
this year, I am working on several new ideas to address resident www.palmspoolservices.com
and business concerns. I welcome comments on all of them as
we continue to look at these issues.
• Identifying economic opportunities and assistance for
local business owners
• Increased communications to seniors to provide them with
information on public services
• Developing a plan with SWA and the county to open the
north county recycle and waste facility on a limited basis so
residents can properly dispose of hazardous materials
• Working to facilitate food distribution/farm sharing events
and reducing food waste

progress. Over the last few weeks, I have been working with Expires 6/30/20.

efforts in our community. Last week, I worked with Feeding State Licensed & Insured

750 families at their first distribution event, and also worked
with Merciful Heavens on the same day to distribute food to
almost 200 families. Both of these organizations, as well as
several others, will need assistance from our community, and
I will continue to work with their leadership to address any
issues the town can assist with. Thank you to our town staff and
police, as well as all the local volunteers who are supporting
these efforts!
