“We are so grateful to everyone who helped make our
biggest fundraising event of the season a huge success,”
said Beryl. “Money raised at the gala plays a crucial role
in sustaining the company, and our chairs, honorary chairs,
sponsors, and committee all worked diligently to produce
a very special evening. I also want to thank Jill and Rich
Switzer and Chris Santiago for providing wonderful
entertainment, and the amazing student performers, who
dazzled us.”

After the auspicious
opening of Palm Beach
Opera’s Turandot to sold-
out seats there’s much to
look forward to with their
production of Eugene Onegin
at the end of March. The
Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s
expansion plans are very
exciting taking them to a
whole new performance level.
And now that all Palm Beach
Symphony concerts will be held in the Dreyfoos Hall, next year,
it is fitting for they belong with the great visiting orchestras of
the music world.
Palm Beach Opera, (561) 833-7888
Tchaikovsky’s deeply moving opera of love, rejection and
reversal of fortune Eugene Onegin has performances on Friday,
March 27 and Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday,
March 29 at 2 p.m. Not to be missed with great opera stars like
Michael Chioldi as Onegin, Dmitry Korchak as Lensky and
Svetlana Aksenova, the lovely Tatiana whose famous letter song
is among the most gripping and beautiful ever written for the
soprano voice. The dual scene is heart stopping. The music is
lush using the full strength of the orchestra in the pit throughout.
The production is conducted by Christian Knapp and directed
by Tomer Zvulun. It is sung in Russian with English supertitles.
This is a stunning opera experience.
Palm Beach Symphony, (561) 281-0145
On Thursday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rosarian
Academy Assembly Hall on Flagler Drive the symphony under
conductor Gerard Schwarz has a three-work interesting concert.
First is Diamond’s Rounds followed by Creston’s Concerto
