      Husband-Wife Rabbis Named

to Lead Temple Israel into Second Century

Temple Israel of West Palm Beach, a century-
old this year, added another milestone to its history
with the start of Ryan and Carlie Daniels as co-
senior rabbis. Though not unique, the pastoral
partnership of husband and wife sharing the same
role is genuinely a first for Palm Beach County and
a first for Florida. It’s also a first for the couple to
be working together at the same synagogue.
Prior to joining Temple Israel, the rabbis
each held positions at different synagogues in
the Chicago area. For Rabbi Carlie, the move
here is a return to her Florida roots. She grew
up in Rockledge, near Cocoa Beach. Coming Rabbi Carlie Daniels (center) with Temple Israel members
