Hobe Sound Golf Club Names
New Director Of Food And
Beverage/Catering
Hobe Sound Golf Club
(“HSGC”) General Manager
John Galland announced
that Cory Simon has been
named director of Food and
Beverage/Catering at the
private club.
Cory has an extensive
background in private
country clubs, restaurant,
and hotel management. For
13 years, she worked for the
Greg Norman Company as general manager of the Medalist
Village Club, also in Hobe Sound. Her responsibilities included
managing the Village Club and directing the community and the
Homeowners Association.
Cory has also served in hospitality management roles at
Devonshire at PGA National (Palm Beach Gardens), The Sailfish
Club of Florida (Palm Beach), Canopy Palms Ramada Resort
and Sheraton Oceanfront Hotel (both on Singer Island), and The
Jupiter Beach Resort. In addition, she has years of real estate
experience in the Florida market.
In her new role, Cory will be responsible for all front of the
house food and beverage operations, working closely with the
executive chef to ensure seamless and polished service to the
club’s membership and their guests.
“We’re excited to welcome Cory to Hobe Sound Golf Club
during this exciting time as we prepare to reopen the club after our
course renovation by Tom Fazio II this summer,” said Galland.
“We’re confident that her strong background in hospitality will
further position our club as one of the preeminent golf clubs in
the area.”
Originally from Wisconsin, Cory came to Florida in pursuit
of furthering her career in the hospitality industry and to seek
a warmer climate. She has resided in the Palm Beach Gardens
