The first of three events was held on Wednesday,
September 11th, when “Theodore Pratt: a Florida Boca Raton Concierge Medicine Doctor
Writer’s Life,” was the subject of a talk and book signing
by Taylor Hagood about Boca Raton’s most successful
author, Theodore Pratt. Pratt was the author of fifteen Board Certified in
books about Florida, earning him the nickname “Literary
Laureate of Florida.” Many of Pratt’s books from the 1940s Internal Medicine
and 50s were made into movies, including the popular with Added Qualifications in
1964 Disney film, The Incredible Mister Limpet. (The
