Even though it was a bit of a rocky start, with Angel
demonstrating some fear aggression, Grace did not
give up. Eventually, they bonded, and Angel settled in
beautifully within a month.
An unfortunate situation arose when Grace, who lives
with COPD, had a serious medical episode and was
hospitalized. Her doctors gave her the heartbreaking
news that she could no longer have a dog because of her
health. Even though this
was incredibly sad for
Grace, the silver lining
was the forever promise
of The Pet Cottage.
The Pet Cottage makes
a forever promise to all
pets that they will have
homestyle care for life, no
matter what. Grace was
comforted in knowing
Angel would return to The
Pet Cottage and again, not
have to face the inside of a
shelter.
Angel returned to The
Pet Cottage, and it was
determined that what was
best for Angel was no
more big changes. Her
home would be here at The
Sanctuary with the other
