Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, welcomed the crowd Orthwein Pfeifle
and expressed appreciation for the gracious hosts who
opened their home for the reception.
“We are grateful to be here with you tonight,” said
Simonsen. “Thank you for the opportunity to share our latest
news with you, including how Jupiter Medical Center is the
top-rated health care system in our region, our history, and
what is ahead for our hospital as we continue to evolve to
meet the demands of our community.”
Rastogi then welcomed the crowd by sharing Jupiter
Medical Center’s history, awards and primary service
areas before introducing the physicians and Canter, who
spoke more in-depth about the quality of health care Jupiter
Medical Center provides.
“Jupiter Medical Center has rapidly evolved from a small
community hospital to the No. 1 rated regional medical
center in our area,” said Rastogi. “Our growth is anchored
in our belief that world-class health care should be close
to home. To meet the needs of our community, we have
been expanding the depth and breadth of our services while
focusing on quality, safety and patient experience.”
He noted that the hospital’s efforts are supported by the
highest industry accolades, including its recent “A” Safety
Grade from The Leapfrog Group, for which Jupiter Medical
Center was the only hospital in Palm Beach and Martin
Counties to receive. This is Jupiter’s 11th “A” rating since
the fall of 2018. Additionally, Jupiter Medical Center was the
only hospital in Southeast Florida to receive The Leapfrog
Group’s highest annual honor, “Top Hospital,” in 2023.
Rastogi also shared with the crowd that earlier this
year, Newsweek ranked Jupiter Medical Center as one of
the “World’s Best Hospitals” for 2024. Simultaneously,
Forbes ranked the hospital as the No.1 hospital and No. 5
employer overall in the midsize category on its “America’s
Best Employers 2024” list.
Du Bois and Sabbah spoke about their areas of specialty
– oncology and cardiology, respectively. In 2020, under
Rastogi’s leadership, Jupiter Medical Center launched
both the Robson Heart & Vascular Institute and opened
the Anderson Family Cancer Institute. Both programs have
grown and evolved by offering the latest treatments, using
state-of-the-art technology, and prioritizing access, such as
when the hospital launched the Next Day program in 2022,
committing to seeing newly diagnosed cancer patients as
soon as the day after their diagnosis.
Pam Canter then detailed the hospital’s women’s and
children’s services, including the Florence A. De George
Children’s & Women’s Services obstetrics unit, De George
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Mastroianni Family
Pediatric Emergency Department. She shared several
