Lighthouse ArtCenter’s Plein Air Festival
Collectors’ Party Sets Record Attendance
The vibrant arts scene at Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta,
reached new heights with the success of the 11th Annual Plein
Air Festival’s Collectors’ Party. The party took place on March
8, with over 500 collectors and art enthusiasts in attendance. A
celebration of creativity and community spirit, guests had the
opportunity to mingle with over 30 award-winning artists from
around the world, exploring a stunning array of freshly painted
pieces that captured the essence of local landscapes and scenes
in Palm Beach and Martin counties.
“Our Plein Air Festival epitomizes the heart and soul
of our community, extending an open invitation for all to
immerse themselves in the beauty of plein air painting,”

The 11th Annual Plein Air Festival featured a week
of free events, artist demonstrations, workshops, and a
remarkable collection of newly painted artworks available
for purchase at Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery. The festival,
renowned for its plein air painting competition, attracted
artists competing for over $15,000 in cash and prizes
while capturing the beauty of our local coastlines, gardens,
bridges and more in real time.
Renowned artist Michele Usibelli judged this year’s Plein Air
Festival, carefully selecting winners across various categories.

Before the collectors’ party, Usibelli presented select artists with
awards, recognizing their exceptional talent and contributions
to the festival. Among the winners was Kari Ganoung Ruiz,
who was awarded the grand prize for her captivating piece
Golden Morning, Pine Glades, receiving $4,000. Hector Acuna
claimed first place with his artwork Jolly Roger, earning $2,500,
followed by Bill Farnsworth in second place for From Both Sides
Now, awarded $1,500, and Marc Anderson secured third place
