Groundbreaking Trip to Israel Unites
from page 1
Throughout the five-day trip, each
participant had the opportunity to
experience the unique tapestry of Jewish
life and the depth of the conflict’s impact
on every person they encountered.
Everyone recognized that while Israelis
were trying to find ways to resume parts
of their lives, the people of Israel are still
struggling, traumatized, and in crisis.
Participants met the founder of
Kfar Izun, which is providing therapy
programs for survivors of the Nova
music festival. A survivor of October 7 took everyone
through Kibbutz Kfar Aza on the Gaza border, showing the
intense destruction of their homes and community, and shared
incredibly painful stories of the dozens there who were killed
or taken hostage on October 7. Through the initiative Bring
Them Home Now!, the group spoke to families and friends
of people still being held in captivity.
