June networking breakfast
The Palm City Chamber of Commerce held their
June Networking Breakfast on Tuesday, June 27, at New
Hope Fellowship in partnership with the Hobe Sound
Chamber of Commerce and the Indiantown Chamber
of Commerce. This was a special event breakfast
highlighting our Legislative Update. Our local Florida
House Representatives Toby Overdorf and John Snyder
along with Florida Senator Gayle Harrell shared insights
to the 2023 Legislative session.
A lovely and delicious buffet breakfast was prepared
by the staff from New Hope Fellowship. Guests were
treated to a fabulous breakfast and then an inspirational
performance by Martin County High School’s OPUS for
the National Anthem and God Bless America.
Our local legislators then proceeded to share
information with the crowd. Topics included our local
waterways, affordable housing, the cost of homeowners
insurance, mental health, and healthcare. We are very Martin County High School OPUS Choral Group
fortunate in Martin County to have such caring and
accessible legislators that actually listen to our concerns
and address them to create change.
Thank you to Martin County Board of County
Commission District
5 Commissioner Chair
Ed Ciampi for being
our moderator and Steve
and Evie Klaassen with
Colorado Pawn and
Jewelry for being our
sponsor.
