Golfers Bring Their A-Game To The Arc Invitational Event

Golfers hit the green at
The Dye Preserve Golf Club
in Jupiter on Monday, April
3 for The Arc Invitational.
Seventy-eight players teed
off in support of children and
adults with developmental
disabilities.
The event began at 7
a.m. and included a brunch
buffet, a silent auction, and
an awards ceremony for its
sponsors, which included Larry Keller
Genuine Parts Company; Dan Yeckes, Cole Hubka, Alex Hanson, Matthew Peace Steve Dellapina, Simon Graham, Tim Derrico, Pat Kelly
Atoll Vodka; Gehring Group; Florida Citrus, Business, and
Industries Fund; U.S. Sugar; Shoreline Insurance; and GEO
Group. Schumacher offered a donation of a car to give to the
player who made a hole-in-one, but unfortunately, no one
was able to make that perfect shot.
The players split into teams of four during the tournament
and were honored during the awards ceremony. The team
“B”ing the Best, led by Ricky Wade, took home first place.
PBSO, led by Ron Mattino, won second place; and the GEO
Group, led by Brian Evans, won third place. The top three
winning teams received a bottle of Dobel Tequila. A lively
game of poker also took place between players and Russell
Greene, The Arc’s CFO, while hand-rolled cigars were passed
among the crowd. The high hand winners took home two
$100 gift cards.
