Created in February of 2020, Hell Gate Sea
Dragons is a nonprofit organization made up of
breast cancer survivors and supporters. Think
of them as an on-water, active, empowering
support group for survivors. Of course, they
are much more than that … paddling, laughing,
exercising with a mission to strengthen minds,
bodies and souls. Many of the team have
had similar health journeys and are there to
encourage and lift each other.
Hell Gate’s goal is to support breast cancer
survivors and their supporters on their road
to recovery, not just on the team, but in the
community, as well. Last month you may have
seen them at the Stuart Saltwater Sisters’ captain’s
